During my 17 year career at CenturyLink and its predecessors, I have accepted many special assignments that have allowed me to become experienced in almost every practice and procedure pertaining to Outside Plant installation and maintenance.  In addition to proficiency in conformance testing and benchmarking network performance, I also mastered many industry related software programs, such as WFA-C, WFA-DO, OSP-FM, NECTAS, LFACS, Fleetcon, and Paragon.

 

Contract Inspector, 2013 to Present

·               Fiber Optic remote terminal retrofit in two massive master planned communities, Anthem and DC Ranch.  Upgrading all business and residential locations from FTTN to FTTH. 

·               Coordinate with city, county, and community officials to complete work with the least amount of community impact, and while maintaining existing customer uptime and service level.

·               Direct and inspect work being completed by contractor Fishel, both new and rehabilitation.

 

 

Central Office Retrofit Team, 2010 to 2012

 

·               Tested, located, and coordinated the repair of communication plant and equipment, analyzed circuit or network diagrams, and resolved network performance problems.

·               Placed and designed copper, fiber, equipment cabling within central offices

·               Worked with engineers, contractors for designs, placing and assembly of equipment.

 

 

Copper Splicer, 2003 to 2009

 

·               Tested, located, and coordinated the repair of communication plant and equipment, analyzed circuit or network diagrams, and resolved network performance problems.

·               Read, interpreted, and reconciled layouts for various network configurations and coordinated

with planners and design engineers to complete work and document changes.

·               Completed all facets of construction “C” splicing, maintenance “M” splicing, span building

and conformance testing. 

·               Worked safely in confined spaces such as utility holes, shored trenches and attics.
